Mysterious, rebellious, and righteously walks to the beat of his own drum, humble and relatable, Jay-Bandit is also unfiltered and tells it like it is! Jay-Bandit is an artist that makes universal songs with substance, keeping it real about life subjects, pushing skill to the limit with optimal lyrical ability, wordplay, rhyme schemes, and a style so versatile that there's no telling what's going to be next! His delivery is constantly switching up from double-time to slow melodic verses. He brings back that old school feel of when music was music, with a unique sound of his own!
Born and raised in the California Bay Area as James Bruce, both of his parents were musically inclined and listened to a wide range of genres; this contributed to his musical influence growing up. However his family never had much and it was often a bad environment, so he didn't spend much time at home. At the early age of 8 he discovered an affinity for Hip Hop and started chasing a dream! The dream of Jay-Bandit began to evolve over the years and by the mid 2000's he began making his appearance on the underground scene. But after a series of bad breaks James found himself at rock bottom for the last time. With the realization of a grim future he was blessed with the Gift Of Desperation and a transformation took hold that would revitalize not only James, but Jay-Bandit as well! Proving it he released Still Jay-Bandit Ep in 2018, followed by What Is Done Is Done Ep in 2019, setting the tone of things to come while working on his biggest and best project yet; Gift Of Desperation!
Currently Gift Of Desperation is now available. Jay-Bandit released a single from the album Full Speed Ahead on January 1st 2021. Then another single Anything Is Possible was released on April 9th and then he released Last Laugh May 7th. Jay-Bandit released Bounce, Bounce on June 4th, Then the album July 2nd! He says,
